FST Program
The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FST) is for qualified tradespeople in skilled trades like electricians, welders, plumbers, and cooks who want to immigrate to Canada.
Requirements
Skilled Trade Experience
At least 2 years of full-time work experience in a skilled trade within the last 5 years.
Language Ability
CLB 5 in speaking and listening, CLB 4 in reading and writing. Accepted tests: IELTS, CELPIP, or TEF Canada.
Job Offer or Certificate
A valid job offer of at least 1 year OR a Certificate of Qualification from a Canadian authority.
Admissibility
Pass medical exam, obtain police certificates, and demonstrate intent to reside outside Quebec.
