Sponsor must be a Canadian citizen or PR aged 18+
Sponsor must meet minimum income (LICO + 30%) for 3 consecutive tax years
Sponsor must sign a 20-year financial undertaking agreement
Interest to sponsor form submitted during annual intake window
Selected via Canada Immigration lottery system (random draw)
Parents/grandparents must pass medical, criminal, and background checks
The Super Visa is an alternative for parents/grandparents who want to visit Canada for extended periods (up to 5 years per stay) without waiting for PGP processing.
